Should Employees or Customers Come "First"?

John Moore makes some good points about a quote from Frederick Reichheld relating to how marketing should focus more on employee relationships to be really successful in the market place.

It seems a little counter-intuitive but if you put employees first they will put the customer first - if you just say "Customers First" in your mission statement or values hanging on the wall then it is very unlikely that the organization will actually execute and truly build customer loyalty.
